A favorite dish that has a twist, have your guests guessing the secret ingredient to this holiday ham. Sweet cinnamon almond butter compliments a ginger jelly to create a unique glaze that will be sure to amaze! This is a favorite in our house every year!
- 1 bone in pre-cooked ham (approx 8-10 lbs)
- 1/2 C (4 oz) ginger jelly
- 1/4 C Betsy’s Best Gourmet Almond Butter with Cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 C white wine (or apple juice)
- 2 granny smith apples
Using a sharp knife, score the ham on top at a diagonal every 3/4” and then repeat the other direction to form an “X” pattern on top. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Slice apples and place in the bottom of a large roasting pan. In a bowl for the microwave or pot on the stove, melt the ginger jelly with the Betsy’s Best Gourmet Almond Butter. Be careful not to burn and it only takes a few min to soften. Once melted remove from heat source and stir in dijon mustard.
Place ham on roasting pan on top of the apples and brush half of the mustard mixture over the ham. Pour wine or apple juice in the bottom of the pan. Bake uncovered as directed on the package (time will vary based on size). Half way through, remove ham from the oven and brush on remaining glaze. Remove from oven, allow ham to rest 15 minutes. Slice ham and pour any pan juices over the slices.
