Eggnog is a holiday treat known for swimming in cream, egg yolk and high calories. We put a nutritional spin on this traditional holiday recipe to create an enjoyable eggnog smoothie that’s both delicious and healthy!
- ½ cup cashews
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp rum extract (or real rum to make a party drink)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp Betsy’s Best Gourmet Sunflower Seed Butter (or Betsy’s Best Almond or Peanut Butter)
- ¼ cup dates (or 8-10 drops of liquid Stevia)
- Dash nutmeg
- Pinch sea salt
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until creamy. Sprinkle with nutmeg for garnish.
