National Peanut Butter Day

Hip Hip Hooray, it’s National Peanut Butter Day!!! This is a day for all of you peanut butter lovers to  celebrate! The golden color and savory flavor from the natural peanut offers a taste that has been desired for years. Although almost every other type of nut has been turned into a butter at some point, peanut butter will always have its mark as the original nut spread. Did you know peanuts are actually a legume? It’s true, but we’re happy this bean of sort is not one you cook with ham.

The nutty flavor of peanuts goes well with so many different foods.  Whoever had the creative idea to take the peanut and grind it into a butter should be given an award…bread and jelly just wouldn’t be the same without the creamy spread of peanut butter!

The Perfect Way To Celebrate National Peanut Butter Day

At Betsy’s Best we appreciate this amazing nut and all of the incredible health benefits it provides.  Fiber, vitamin E, protein, vitamins and minerals….all packed in a tiny nut.
