Add some heat to your morning blend and give your smoothie a kick with some ginger and cayenne combined with our delicious gourmet Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Peanut Butter. Warning! If you substitute in a different PB brand this smoothie just won’t be the same.

Recipe Ingredients:

Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Peanut Butter

1 C almond or other milk alternative

1/2 frozen banana

6 baby carrots

1 T chia seeds

1 T hemp seeds

pinch sea salt

1 small knob ginger (can adjust size depending on taste)

dash of cayenne

Step 1: Blend until smooth.

Step 2: Add more cayenne if you need more heat!.

Teriyaki Chicken with Greek Yogurt Dip

If you are tired of just plain chicken and looking for a way to give it some zip, Betsy’s teriyaki chicken skewers with greek yogurt dip recipe is for you! The sweet taste of the Betsy’s Best with the cinnamon and honey pairs perfectly with the savory flavor of the teriyaki. The cool Greek yogurt dip with hints of spice give the chicken flavor another dimension.

Ingredients:

Teriyaki Chicken

6-8 chicken tenders

1/4 C teriyaki sauce

2 T Betsy’s Best gourmet sunflower seed butter

Greek Yogurt Dip

1 8 oz Greek yogurt, plain

1 tsp lemon juice

pinch sea salt

1 small knob ginger

1 small clove garlic

2 T Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Sunflower Seed Butter

Step By Step Teriyaki Chicken with Greek Yogurt Dip Recipe Directions:

Step 1Combine teriyaki sauce and 2 T Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Seed Butter until smooth.

Step 2: Marinate raw chicken a min of 1 hr or overnight.

Step 3: Either grill or bake on skewers until no longer pink.

Step 4: To make sauce, place all ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth.

Step 3: Enjoy your teriyaki chicken as you dip it into Betsy’s tasty Greek yogurt blend!

Peanut Butter Teriyaki Marinade Recipe

Are you ready to set your summer up for a healthy sizzle?  Light your grill and prepare your meat using our delicious and savory teriyaki marinade recipe.   Not only is the marinade loaded with healthy ingredients, as we learned in my healthy grilling blog post, the marinade will protect the meat from toxins created by the charcoal.

1/3 C mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)

1/4 C soy sauce

2 T Betsy’s Best Gourmet Almond Butter

2 1/4 tsp rice vinegar

1/2 tsp sesame oil

3 T white sugar

1 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 T minced fresh ginger

1 dash red pepper flakes

1/2 tsp chia seeds

black pepper to taste

Bring mirin to a boil in a saucepan over high heat.  Reduce to a simmer for 10 min.  Add additional ingredients and cook an additional 5 min.  Store in refrigerator and use as a marinade or dressing.

The teriyaki marinade recipe will add great flavor to your protein and used as a dressing on your greens will the the whole meal together.  Now that is cooking with a sizzle!

Almond Butter and Ginger Jelly Glazed Ham

Betsy’s Best ham glaze with ginger jelly is one of Betsy’s favorite Holiday dishes.  It’s unique gourmet twist will have your guests guessing the secret ingredient for this holiday glazed ham.  Sweet cinnamon almond butter compliments a ginger jelly to create a unique glaze that will be sure to amaze! Trust Betsy! It will be #LoveAtFirstTaste!

Ingredients:

1/4 C Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Almond Butter

1 bone in pre-cooked ham (approx 8-10 lbs)

1/2 C  (4 oz) ginger jelly

2 Tbsp dijon mustard

1 C white wine (or apple juice)

2 granny smith apples

 

 

 

 

 

Step By Step Almond Butter and Ginger Jelly Glazed Ham Recipe Directions:

Step 1Using a sharp knife, score the ham on top at a diagonal every 3/4” and then repeat the other direction to form an “X” pattern on top.  Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Slice apples and place in the bottom of a large roasting pan.  In a bowl for the microwave or pot on the stove, melt the ginger jelly with the Betsy’s Best Gourmet Almond Butter.  Be careful not to burn and it only takes a few min to soften. Once melted remove from heat source and stir in dijon mustard.

Step 2: Place ham on roasting pan on top of the apples and brush half of the mustard mixture over the ham. Pour wine or apple juice in the bottom of the pan.  Bake uncovered as directed on the package (time will vary based on size).  Half way through, remove ham from the oven and brush on remaining glaze.  Remove from oven, allow ham to rest 15 minutes. Slice ham and pour any pan juices over the slices.

Coconut, Ginger, Cinnamon, and Peanut Butter Ice Cream Topping

Watch out ice cream there is a hot topping about to melt your heart!  Take your vanilla cream to a new extreme with a sweet heat topping.  The subtle ginger and hint of cinnamon peanut butter makes the most amazing combination. Heck you may even skip the sweet cream and eat the topping all by itself!

 

Recipe Ingredients:

2 T Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Peanut Butter

1/2 T coconut oil

1 tsp maple syrup

Vanilla ice cream

2 T Bare Sweet Ginger Coconut Chips

Step By Step Peanut Butter Ice Cream Topping Recipe Directions:

Step 1: In a pot add Betsy’s Best, coconut oil and maple syrup. 

Step 2: On low heat cook until coconut oil melts.  About 3-5 min. 

Step 3: Remove from heat. 

Step 4: Place ice cream in a bowl and top with peanut sauce and sprinkle with coconut ginger chips. 

Betsy’s idea: If you wait a bit the peanut butter topping will turn hard into a crisp!

Step 5: Enjoy your homemade peanut butter ice cream topping.
