How To Make Chia Seed Pudding

If you love the health benefits of chia seeds, you’ll love the nutrition in homemade chia pudding. Even better, you are going to love the rich and satisfying taste. Superfood never tasted so good.

Apple Pie Chia Pudding Ingredients

  • 12 oz. almond milk (or coconut milk), divided
  • 1 Tbsp Betsy’s Best Gourmet Almond Butter
  • 4 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup apple chips broken into small pieces (or sliced apple)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 4-5 drops liquid Stevia (or honey)

Step By Step Directions For Making Betsy’s Chia Seed Pudding

Step 1: Add Betsy’s Best Gourmet Almond Butter and ¼ cup of the milk to a jar with a lid.

Step 2: Stir with a spoon until Betsy’s Best dissolves.

Step 3: Add remaining milk and all other ingredients to jar and close lid tightly.

Step 4: Shake for a few seconds and place in refrigerator for 5 minutes.

Step 5: Remove and shake again.

Step 6: Let sit in refrigerator another 5 minutes.

Step 7: Remove and shake one more time or stir with spoon until chia jells evenly.

For me as a dietitian a seed is always considered a “super” food with “super powers” for proving the body with rich nutrients. Think of the power of all seeds and how they bring life to a plant and contain so many rich nutrients to allow growth and sustainability.

When I was developing my delicious nut butter creations naturally peanut butter was my first creation soon followed by the almond. Both containing seeds in the form of chia seeds to help not only boost nutrition, but offer that distinctive crunch to every bite. However I felt my creations were not complete and that there was something missing from my new line of products. There was a NEED for SEED and not just because of allergies to the alternative butters, but those tiny little seeds offer the “super” food effect I was looking for.
