Apple and Peanut Butter Sandwich Snack Treats

A sweet treat that is fun to eat!  They may look deceiving, but throw out the bread and use fruit instead!  These gluten-free goodies will fool the kids but keep them satisfied.  We don’t want to fool you, these are for adults too!  You can use any nut butter of your choice to create the flavor you desire.  Trust us, they are as fun to make as they are to devour!!!

Apple and Peanut Butter Sandwich

  • 1 apple, cored and sliced in circles
  • 2 T Betsy’s Best Gourmet Nut and Seed Butter of choice
  • 2 T Granola

Take 2 slices of the apple and apply Betsy’s Best Gourmet Nut and Seed Butter to 1 side of each apple.  Sprinkle granola on one slice and sandwich together with the other slice.

Apple and Almond Butter Cookies

  • 1 AppleApple and Seed Butter Snack Ideas
  • 2 T Betsy’s Best Gourmet Almond Butter
  • Sprinkles or dark cacao nibs
  • Slice apple horizontally in 1/4” slices, but do not remove the seeds or the core.  Spread Betsy’s Best Gourmet Almond Butter over the top of each slice and sprinkle with sprinkles or cacao nibs!
  • Cashew Butter Doughnut
  • 1 Apple
  • 2 T Betsy’s Best Gourmet Cashew Coconut or Cashew Cardamom Butter
  • Sprinkles

Core apple and slice horizontally in 1/4” slices.  Spread Betsy’s Best Gourmet Cashew Butter over the top making sure not to cover the hole.  Add sprinkles!

Ingredients:

2 T Betsy’s Best Cardamom Cashew Butter

1 T Vegenaise Mayo

1 T canned pumpkin

1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp dijon mustard

1/2 tsp honey

pinch sea salt

dash of ginger

Step By Step Cashew Butter Dressing Recipe Directions:

 

Step 1Mix all ingredients together until incorporated.  

Step 2: Spoon the dressing onto your favorite salad to taste,

Here at Betsy’s Best we are taking the PB&J to new heights.  If you’re a foodie you are going to love this recipe a gourmet almond butter and jelly sandwich.  Featuring our cinnamon almond butter and mint, this sandwich will have you wondering why PB&Js are considered kids food.

Ingredients:

2 slices bread

2 T Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Almond Butter

]1 T Blackberry preserve

9 blackberries

6 mint leaves

Step By Step Recipe Directions:

 

Step 1: Assemble the sandwich with almond butter on one slice of bread and blackberry preserves on the other slice. 

Step 2: Add fresh blackberries on top of the preserve and garnish with the mint. 

Step 3: Place slices of bread together.

Step 4: Enjoy!

This is not only a simple Asian slaw recipe but one of Betsy’s favorites. The flavor of this slaw is absolutely to die for and a family favorite. It is a great side dish, but often we will add shrimp and kelp noodles and create an entree.

Ingredients:

1/4 C Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Almond Butter

1 ½ cup shredded carrots

3 cups shredded purple cabbage

1 scallion, chopped

1/3 cup cilantro, chopped

2 Tbsp red-wine vinegar

2 Tbsp raw suga

2 Tbsp oil

½ tsp sea salt

Step By Step Asian Slaw Recipe Directions:

Step 1: Stir vinegar and sugar in large bowl until sugar dissolves.

Step 2: Whisk in Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Almond Butter, oil and salt.

Step 3: Toss with cabbage, carrots, scallions and chopped cilantro.

Step 4: Enjoy your satisfyingly healthy salad!
